Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity
Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity is a new financial, volunteer and advocacy alliance formed between Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Habitat for Humanity International. This initiative includes four programs to help end poverty housing and help families achieve greater economic independence.

Throughout the world, millions of families are living in substandard housing. You can help change their lives through the Thrivent Builds Worldwide program. There are two ways to help build a better world:
Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members receive a discount on trip costs. A donation will also be made to the Habitat for Humanity host program on behalf of Thrivent Financial members who participate in a volunteer work trip. It is a life-changing opportunity to see the world and feel the power of your membership in action!
Take the lead!
Your enthusiasm and leadership skills are the catalyst to help your congregation, Lutheran group or local chapter of Thrivent Financial experience a life-changing trip. Take the lead and help build a home with a partner family in need of simple, decent, affordable housing.
Thrivent Builds Programs
Thrivent Builds Homes is a national program that joins the nearly 3 million Thrivent Financial members with Habitat for Humanity volunteers and other Lutherans, their families and their communities to build hundreds of homes annually in the United States.
Thrivent Builds Worldwide is a program of short-term (one- to three-week) international and domestic working trips for individuals or groups to build Habitat houses in partnership with families facing critical housing needs.
Thrivent Builds Neighborhoods seeks to be a catalyst for neighborhood transformation by distributing several multi-year grants to coalitions of community organizations for planning and implementing systematic and sustainable improvements in a specific neighborhood so that its inhabitants experience a higher quality of life.
Thrivent Builds Mobile is a one-of-a-kind mobile multimedia exhibit designed to help Americans experience—if only for a few minutes—what it means to live in substandard housing. It is a 48-foot semitrailer that enables visitors to experience substandard housing and learn what they can do to address this problem that affects more than 30 million American families.
